North and East Midlands Photographic Federation (NEMPF) exhibition

The opening of the North and East Midlands Photographic Federation (NEMPF) exhibition at Eastwood on Saturday 8th January was well attended by members of the Rolls-Royce Photographic Society, as they picked up their many awards.
Club chairman Chris Forster collected all 3 club awards on behalf of Rolls-Royce.

This is only the second time in the Exhibitions' history that all 3 awards have been won by one club.

The Derwent Trophy:
For the best 4 projected images, with;

"Godwits landing" by Bill Hall
"Venezia" by Brian Stephenson
"Porth Nefyn" by Chris Forster
"Punk" by Gary Langley

The Hiscox Trophy:
For the best 4 Monochrome prints, with;

"Mick" by Gary Langley
"Gladiators the final cut" by Chris Forster
"Contemplation" by Dave Goodman,
"Indian Creek" by Bill Hall

The Chesterfield Trophy:

For the best 4 colour prints, with;

"Aaron" by Gary Langley
"Flora" by Chris Forster
"Fallen" by Neil Humphries
"Waxwings" by Bill Hall.

Bill Hall was the most successful individual entrant in the exhibition, with 14 acceptances, and 6 awards.
He won the best Nature Print with "Waxwings", best projected mono image with "Palette Spring",
a selectors' award in mono projected with "Tanglewood Creek" a Highly Commended for "Black-tailed Godwits landing", and 2 Certificates of Merit for "Waxwing" and "White-tailed Sea Eagle".

Steve Shaw won the best projected Nature image, with "Brown Hare", and a selectors award with,
"Goldfinch stretching".

Chris Forster won the best individual print panel with " Memorials to Gallipoli" and had 2 highly commended prints with "Gladiators, the final cut" and "Flora".

Dave Barraclough had a selectors award with "The Bower".

Neil Humphries had 2 Highly Commended" awards with "The Fallen" and "Mourning".

Overall Rolls-Royce had the most acceptances and awards from any of the 37 clubs who entered, all the more remarkable, as they are one of the smallest clubs, with under 30 members.
